Privacy Policy
This policy explains what information VeinRecovery (“VeinRecovery,” “we,” “us”) collects through veinrecovery.com, how we use it, and the choices you have. It covers the site as it is today: a page that announces our relaunch and lets you sign up to be notified, plus a few older articles about vein health. We will update this policy before the full site launches.
Information we collect
Information you give us
When you sign up to be notified, we collect:
- your first and last name
- your email address
- your phone number, if you choose to give it
- the role you select (patient or caregiver, physician or clinician, practice staff, medical writer or contributor, or other)
- whether you agreed to receive email from us, and when you signed up
We do not ask for, and you should not send us, information about your health, symptoms, diagnoses or treatment.
Information collected automatically
Like most websites, our hosting provider keeps standard server logs, such as IP address, browser type, the page requested and the time of the request, to run and secure the site. If you followed a link with a campaign tag (for example, from our Facebook or Instagram page), we record which source sent you.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics to understand how many people visit and which pages they read, so we can improve the site. Google Analytics uses first-party cookies and receives information such as the pages you view, the site that referred you, your approximate location (city level), and your device and browser type. We have turned off Google signals and advertising features, so this information is not used for ads or to follow you across other sites. We never send your name, email, phone number, role or anything you type into a form to Google Analytics. You can block it with your browser’s cookie settings or Google’s opt-out add-on. This site does not use advertising cookies or tracking pixels.
How we use your information
- To confirm your signup and email you when the new site launches.
- To send occasional updates about VeinRecovery that fit the role you chose. For example, physicians and practice staff may get early access to claim a listing or review guides.
- If you gave a phone number, to contact you about early access to claim a listing or join as a reviewer. We will not send marketing text messages without asking you separately.
- To keep the site secure and prevent spam and abuse.
- To comply with the law.
How we share it
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We share it only with service providers that help us run the site and send email, such as our web host, our email delivery provider and our analytics provider (Google Analytics). They may use it only to provide those services to us. We may also disclose information if the law requires it, to protect the rights and safety of our users or others, or as part of a merger, acquisition or sale of the business, in which case this policy will continue to apply to your information.
Your choices
- Unsubscribe: every email we send has an unsubscribe link, or you can email us.
- Access, correction and deletion: email info@veinrecovery.com to ask what we hold about you, to correct it or to delete it. We will respond within 45 days.
- Do Not Track: this page does not track you across other sites, so it treats all visitors the same whether or not a Do Not Track signal is sent.
Your state privacy rights
Depending on where you live, including California, Washington and other states with consumer privacy laws, you may have the right to know what personal information we collect and how we use it, to access or delete it, to correct it, and to opt out of its sale or sharing. As stated above, we do not sell or share personal information. Because the role you select can suggest an interest in vein care, we treat it with extra care: we use it only to send relevant updates, we never sell it, and we will delete it on request. To exercise any of these rights, email info@veinrecovery.com. We will not treat you differently for using them. An authorized agent may make a request on your behalf, and we may ask you to confirm your identity first.
How long we keep it
We keep signup information until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it, or until it is no longer needed for the purposes above. After you unsubscribe, we keep a record of your email address so we don’t email you again.
Security
We use reasonable safeguards to protect your information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) and restricted access to signup records. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
Children
This site is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has given us information, email info@veinrecovery.com and we will delete it.
Not a healthcare provider
VeinRecovery is an information and directory service. We are not a healthcare provider, and signing up does not create a doctor–patient relationship.
Changes to this policy
We will post any changes here and update the effective date above. If a change materially affects how we use information we already have, we will tell you by email before it takes effect.
